Some Arkansas and Southern region news.

  • The Organic Apple Apprentice notes for October can be found here.
  • Save the date for the 2012 AR-OK Horticulture Industry Show on January 6 & 7th at the Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, OK. Diane Ott Whealy from Seed Savers Exchange, Decorah, IA, will be giving the keynote.
  • The Southern SAWG conference will be held in Little Rock on January 18 – 22, 2012.  We are fortunate to have this conference in LR this year because it is a great conference!  There are pre-conference in-depth short and mini courses, and field trips in addition to lots of great speakers.
  • Southern Region Small Fruit Consortium released it’s October Small Fruit Newsletter. In this newsletter the following articles will be found.
